I’m a busy man. I have a job that requires me to stay at work over 10 hours a day, and even do some extra work once I get home. Basically for me, I’m always clocked in. I have to answer phone calls, e-mails, text messages and even Facebook messages. I am a small business owner, and because of this, I have no free time for everyday life if it does not include making money. I can’t even go shopping!
Aside from me putting in so much effort into my business, I must say I love to shop. But if you were in my shoes, how much time do you really think you would have to actually spend time at your regular mall and roam around until you find what you want. To tell you the truth, I can’t even remember the last time I visited a mall. I basically eat drive-thru fast food during the day and takeout during the night. I’m always on the move, so I really don’t have a choice. If you are a successful businessman, you feel my pain and agony. They say if you have a lot of time on your hands, then you don’t have money; and if you have a lot of money in your hands then you don’t have time. If you really think about it, it is so true. If anyone is really serious about making real money and reaching their financial dreams, then they really positively cannot have free time on their hands. Time is money; and so when you waste time, you are wasting money.
While I was on my way back from a business trip in Toronto, I met a very successful businessman who was with his family from the United States. He had a really fancy coat on that I had seen and wanted. But as you have seen, I simply just did not have the time to go and buy it. It was all cashmere, and the price that he got it for just blew my mind. I’m thinking he probably spent $300.00 at least on that cashmere coat. Boy was I wrong; he got it for only $179.00! Where he got the coat surprised me even more. He also informed me that he was able to buy his wife some jewelery, along with a cashmere blanket for his baby’s birthday who had just turned 3, at the same place.
But that was not all, he was apparently going on vacation, and this same place that he was able to buy a coat from, he got some incredible vacation tips as well. He told me that this was his first time in Toronto, but what he read really intrigued him and made him want to see the city for himself. He started telling me about some fancy French restaurant called Le Montmartre French Restaurant, which he was so eager to visit. This restaurant apparently had great food, and had a decor of beautiful paintings by Van Gogh and Renoir to go along with great music by Charles Aznavour and Edith Piaf.
So I’m there sitting down, and he is telling me things about Toronto that I never even knew. Mind you, I’m from Toronto, that’s where I live! So he has this fancy cashmere coat on, some very nice Levi’s jeans, and Vans shoes that just completed the whole outfit. Now I’m thinking to myself, which haven did he find? Because if I knew of this place where he got all of this, and learned so much about a city and had never actually been there, then it must be some kind of wonderland.
So I asked him where this wondrous place was where he found all of these great things and great information. Get this, it was a website! A website that provided you with travel articles from around the globe, links to purchasing clothing, shoes, jewellery and endless other things. The way I scrambled for my pen to write down this website, I thought I was going to drop everything I was holding in my hands.
